AC Timber Trading: a new name for 285 years of expertise in timber import

With nearly 285 years of experience, an icon in the Belgian timber sector is opening a new chapter. As of 1 October 2025, van Hoorebeke Timber will officially continue under the name AC Timber Trading. The new brand name highlights the company’s international ambitions while honouring the strong foundations built since 1740.

Since 2023, AC Timber Trading has been part of the van Steenberge Invest holding, an independent family‑owned group with a clear long‑term vision. The holding combines operational excellence with authentic entrepreneurship and manages, among other activities, a shared stock of more than 100,000 m³ of timber and panels at strategic locations in Belgium and England.
